What you can expect: Precise | Professional |Targeted Treatment.

I have always had a love for therapeutic massage from seeing and feeling the benefits this beautiful modality can provide. New Zealand is one of the few countries where massage is not regulated; Therefore its very important to check your Therapists Professional qualifications before booking in.

I am a firm believer in the holistic approach to well being and really enjoy working with my clients to develop a specific treatment plan that best suits their needs and body requirements; whether it is a relaxation treatment to reduce stress and enhance well-being, or a specific treatment plan that addresses chronic soft-tissue dysfunction.

I work out of my peaceful rurally located clinic just 4kms from Tahuna.

I have had great results in working with a variety of clients from professional sportspeople, celebrities and people with stressful lifestyles, to people presenting with chronic or acute muscular and postural dysfunction. We all have sore muscles from time to time! :)
The first session can include a postural analysis, range of movement testing (This determines muscle dysfunction and helps build an effective treatment plan). Home care advice and stretches and strengthening exercises are also provided to prolong the results of the treatment.

Why should I use a Massage New Zealand Trained Therapist?
Ask your therapist where they were trained; there are many reputable massage training institutions in New Zealand. Their training can range from a 3 to 6 month course for a Certificate (relaxation massage only)to a 3 year Degree course, and most of these courses are recognised by Massage New Zealand. As there are different levels of massage expertise throughout our country, our members have to meet specified requirements to fit into each level of membership that we have. Most members of MNZ hold a diploma in Therapeutic Massage, having undertaken a 12 to 18 month training course. MNZ therapists have ongoing training requirements of at least 20 hours each year to keep their skills and knowledge base up to date. Our Association also has a Code of Ethics, which MNZ therapists must display in their clinics for clients to read, and which gives details of a Complaints Procedure for clients to use if they feel dissatisfied with their treatment or the therapist’s behavior.

Is Massage Covered by ACC?
Unfortunately it is not covered by ACC. HOWEVER! Southern Cross, Unimed Medical and NIB Insurance does have policies which include refunds for massage therapy payments made to MNZ RMT members
